boys: they come in many shapes and sizes

I. am. surrounded. by. boys. That's gotta be one of the most notable changes since my arrival here in this massive university. You see, while boys do indeed exist in high school, the big difference in college is that all of a sudden you're seriously getting to know guys left and right- you don't even have a chance to get excited about one guy because there are so. many. You remember how you used to obsess over that crush that you'd talked to maybe three times, watching him in his glorious sexiness from afar with a thousand little scenarios of made-up conversations and interactions with him in your head? Admit it. Now, in college, this stuff actually happens. And whats more, you don't care about it nearly as much because it happens all the time. There are no rules, you're just getting to know people- and boys in a different way. Now, after realizing that there were indeed many boys, I came to my second revelation: there are boys on both ends of the spectrum, and everywhere in between. Despite all my interactions with the male species, I still don't know what to expect from them because they're all so different. Lemme break it down- put simply, we've got a boy spectrum: on the left we have very good, and on the right we've got very naughty. One night I went out to a frat I ended up dancing with a guy who actually pinched me repeatedly during the intense grinding session. I was somewhat intoxicated so I was confused when his feeling-up grew steadily more painful, but I ignored it- that is, until the next morning when I discovered red marks and scratches down my stomach and butt. He also attempted to stick his tongue down my ear, and happened to deal all sorts of illicit drugs- meet bad boy. Now we skip to the other end of the spectrum- the Christian boy. He's the guy that's consistently nice to me no matter how often I disappoint him, who has morals much higher than mine (no kissing till marriage- seriously!?), who is just so fricking nice its almost annoying. And we have everything in between- the charming athlete, the sweet stoner kid, the emotional guitar-player. And despite all the guys I've met, I wouldn't date any of them- here's the lesson, guys. There are plenty of fish in the sea, and sometimes you've gotta just keep swimming along until the right one comes along.
